From Dublin to the Heart of India: A Journey of Dreams, Roots & Purpose

 

 

We are Sivanandakumar, Kingkumar, Sunil, and Sajesh — four friends from Indian origin, now living in Dublin, Ireland, bound by deep friendship, shared roots, and an unshakable sense of adventure. Though we’ve spent years abroad, India has always lived within us — in our memories, in our food, in our festivals, and most of all, in our hearts.

 

The seed of this journey was planted long ago — inspired by the legendary Santhosh George Kulangara of Safari TVand many other explorers who dared to follow the open road. Watching their travels awaken new worlds, we too began to dream. We talked, imagined, and laughed about someday hitting the road ourselves. And then one day, that “someday” became now.

When we envisioned our first grand adventure, the answer was simple — India, our motherland, was where the journey had to begin. A land of infinite contrasts and endless wonders — from snow-capped Himalayan peaks to golden southern beaches, from quiet spiritual corners to vibrant cities buzzing with life — India is more than a country; it’s an experience.

 

This Kashmir to Kanyakumari Yathra is more than just a road trip. It’s our tribute to India’s unmatched cultural, spiritual, and geographic diversity. It’s a celebration of where we come from — a heartfelt homecoming.

We wanted this trip to mean something more — not just for us, but for the people around us. That’s why we’ve dedicated this Yathra as a charity drive, aiming to raise funds and awareness for grassroots initiatives in India. Through every kilometer, every interaction, every story we share, we hope to contribute to something bigger — to give back to the country that gave us everything.
